In most of the African countries especially Uganda, 90% of the physically disabled children have been denied a number of basic needs in addition to even a right to live.
According to statistics, districts in the Western region in Uganda like Bushenyi district have only 5% of physically disabled children going to school with only one school that has been identified as Bushenyi Primary School.
This has created a gap and denied children that may be physically incapable but mentally stable a chance to education, some other children denied a chance to good health, security or even food.
Our purpose as an organisation is to bring a awareness to families, individuals, countries and Uganda as a country that children who are capable of attaining all the basic needs should be freely given to them without discrimination.
Disabled children that have the ability to understand or attain any practical skills should not be denied access, that these children should be granted security and listened to without discrimination and any forms of abuse should be condemned and faced with law.
We are ensuring that all the above practices are fully carried out by sensitizing communities through mass education campaigns, through reaching out to families with disabled children and our plan to to also construct a school that can accommodate all children regardless of their imperfections.
